Biography

Jade Bennett was born and raised in Southwestern Ontario and has been living in
London area, studying and performing as a vocalist since her childhood years.
She worked as a studio vocalist as an adolescent, recording with many established
local musicians. Jade performed in musical theatre and competitive chorus groups
until after post secondary school when she began singing back up for a few local
blues bands and writing her own music.
After a break to pursue her education and her own business venture Jade co-created
Letters From Hawthorne, an acoustic duo performing beautiful, harmonic musical
renditions of cover songs with a strong emphasis on music from their Canadian
roots. Jade was nominated with Letters From Hawthorne for a Forest City London
Music Award in 2019 for Favourite Cover Band.
Jade is a multi instrumental artist playing ukulele, guitar and piano and writes
songs with an acoustic indie vibe embracing her jazz & blues influenced vocal
styling. She is an avid environmentalist and activist which represents itself
throughout her music with a focus around how she views of the world today and
the changes we need to make humans.
Jade was ranked #1 on the Reverbnation Indie Charts in London Ontario in 2019
and recently won the vote for Utility Player in the Forest City London Music
Awards Fantasy Band. She is currently touring Southwestern Ontario and is
working on recording her debut solo EP to be released in late 2019!
